End of Year

Since we are coming up on the end of the year, the discussion tends to change. We go from simple to complex as exams approach. So why not discuss more serious and difficult topics:

What is the meaning of life (beyond this of course)?

Really...why are we here, what's life all about?

It's just about enough to get anybody depressed. Maybe this will cheer you up!

Now for something completely different:

Markets for everything: here and here

I'm graduating in 43 days, right now the meaning of life is starting and then finishing my research project on Progressive Intellectual/Philosopher John Dewey. For being sooo smart, he didn't know a lot about economics (i.e. raise the standard of living with a minimum wage, the government should solve unemployment by giving people jobs).

The meaning of life is to worship God and enjoy Him forever.

You ask good questions. I'm not so sure life has any deep meaning, but I hope it does.

Let me know if you figure this one out.

One: John Dewey does not have a real solid reputation with a lot of folks right of center.

Two: Isn't that more the purpose of our lives?

Three: I think there is truth out there, I am just not sure if we can actually attain it.(...if we can't attain it how do we know it exists?...)

I guess it falls down to the issue, of whether or not we can truly see from the outside looking in.
